2021-till present: Marking memories- Mashishing rock engraving project 
 
Team: Dr. Lauren Dyll of CCMS,  UKZN (Project leader), Dr Mary Lange-ArrowSA; Prof. JP Celliers, Curator of Lydenburg Museum; Prof. David Morris, head of archaeology McGregor Museum; Prof. Roger Fisher, Pretoria University; Dr Magda Minguzzi-Nelson Mandela University. 
 
Aim: to record participants perceptions of the rock engraving tradition at Mashishing, Mpumalanga and to transfer skills as to how to record rock engravings. The project will bring together South African people of different cultures and ages towards reconciliation and nation building.
